A series of challenging mathematical/computer programming problems.
Project Euler is a long-running collection of mathematical and programming problems that are designed to be solved with a computer. Each problem has a single numeric answer that you submit on the site, and the problems grow in difficulty, so a brute-force approach often stops working and you must find a smarter algorithm. You can use any language you like. It is free, and a free account tracks your progress. It is best for practising problem solving and algorithmic thinking, but it is not a tutorial, so complete beginners may find the early problems easier than the later ones suggest.
